park slope

So, I haven’t really introduced you to my new ‘hood yet. Welcome to Park Slope, or I should say South Slope. I live on the south edge of Park Slope, a neighborhood known most for its new-age parents. In the past few months I have come to know it as so much more (and luckily on the south side we don’t get too many of these people).

One of the most important things I was looking for in a neighborhood is great restaurants. In that department, I think Park Slope may be unmatched. I can eat any kind of food within walking distance and it’s usually affordable and delicious.

It’s a pretty happy and safe place and I couldn’t be happier in this neighborhood. It’s home to my great gym, a bunch of my friends, two subway lines, good grocery stores and fun stores. I’m already eyeing multi-million dollar brownstones as future potential homes!

for the love of books

I have always been a reader, I love burying myself in novels. I read on the train, before bed and on the weekends. Basically, anytime I have a spare moment I can be caught reading. Here are my recommendations and to-read list for this month.

What are you reading right now?

shhhh...

I’ll let you in on the secret to success. The truth is, there is no secret, just show up and do the work that needs to be done. Don’t get distracted trying to keep up with everyone around you. Don’t dwell too much on the past, and don’t spend all of your time worrying about the future. Keep your head down, show up every day and work as hard as you can. If that doesn’t bring you success, then at the very least it will bring you respect.

One of my favorite places in New York is Brookyn Roasting Company. I go there once (sometimes twice) a day, and luckily for me it’s right across the street from work! They have new coffee roasts everyday and I love trying out their newest ones. They put a lot of care and love into roasting their beans, and it shows in the taste and quality. Definitely a must-stop for coffee lovers in BK.

Today we had a photoshoot at casa Swiss Miss and afterwards headed up to the roof of Tina’s building to check out the view. There are really no words to describe the scenery from the top of this Brooklyn building.

partially cloudy

Hey guess what? I designed a Tattly called Clouds, and it’s being released today. Tattly is a crazy fun place to work (somedays I have to pinch myself and ask, really? I work with temporary tattoos for a living?!). I’m excited to have the opportunity to design a Tattly and be amongst some design giants on the site.
