creative mornings

I haven’t missed a single Creative Mornings since the day I moved to New York. Each one has brought me inspiration, a kick in the pants and free breakfast. When they decided to kickstart their online archive, I was more than happy to give a few bucks to the cause. If you have ever been to a CM event, watched one of their many videos (including F*** You, Pay Me, a personal favorite) or attempted to run a 33 city series of free monthly events I ask you to considering giving them a little support over at their Kickstarter.

one year in new york

Last week I celebrated my one year New York anniversary and today is my one year anniversary of working at Tattly. I can’t believe how fast the year went by. I’ve been thinking about the past year and I’m thankful for:

  • All of the amazing friends and Studiomates I am surrounded by
  • The crazy and fun atmosphere of Tattly
  • Finding a gym to call home
  • My friends and family that aren’t nearby, but still manage to keep in touch
  • Being near my sister, brother-in-law and their two hilarious daughters
  • Feeling full and happy at the end of each day

gosh i love photobooths

The recent emergence of digital photobooths makes me seriously happy. Being in a photobooth is ten times more fun than taking cheesy posed shots at parties. I have been to quite a few events in the past few weeks with booths and I just can’t get enough. As you can see above, it’s extra fun to try to fit tons of people in the shot and see what happens. Photobooths might just be the best things since sliced bread.

// above photos taken with The Bosco, but I also love Shootbooth and my personal favorite is Smilebooth. Friends pictured above include Dave, Jonnie, Larry, Kelli, Mary, Jen, Jessi and Jonny (basically a powerhouse of designers, illustrators, developers and fun-makers that I am so happy to have met since I moved to New York a year ago)

oh my! ban.do

Do you know Ban.do? If not, you should. Jen and Kelly (who run the company) are some of the most talented, generous and beautiful people I have met. They spent the week in New York working The Cream Event, having a press party and coming to studio Tattly to hang out. I absolutely loved spending the week with them and am currently dreaming of the day they move to Brooklyn! See their beautiful blog post here.

last weeks of summer

Summer’s coming to a close. I can feel the days getting shorter, the nights getting cooler and the sweaters coming out of my closet.

There are a few things still to do before the weather cools off for good
