So Ban.do’s new fall / holiday collection is to die for. My wishlist (above) contains nearly every piece available. They just keep getting better and better. I love ban.do not just for their great products, but the most amazing ladies work there too!

In other news, New York is slowly but surely recovering from Hurricane Sandy. If you know of any small businesses in the area, do your best to support them in the coming weeks, losing a week of business can really hurt a small company!
If you want to help Galapagos Art Space had serious damage and could use donations.
The DUMBO Business Improvement District is keeping people updated about conditions in the area and volunteer opportunities.
NYC Service has a good list of general volunteer positions.

a short walk

Thanks for all the well wishes, I am doing just fine as is my apartment. My only affliction was a severe case of cabin fever by morning. I went for a walk with some friends to check out some of the places that were hit pretty hard by flooding. The area around the Gowanus Canal was completely flooded all evening (which is especially dangerous because it’s full of toxins). By this morning the flooding had receded and the canal was back to its usual level of grossness. // a photo from last night

We also stopped by the Lowe’s parking lot which was a swimming pool yesterday evening. It’s clear of water as well, but has quite a few lost UPS packages.

madewell spring

A few of my favorite pieces from the Madewell Spring 2013 Preview earlier this week. Looking at spring clothing made me wish winter were already over (and it hasn’t even begun!).
